This summer a record number of 68 of our students sat for an Official English Cambridge Exam . Most of them sat for the First Certificate exam – FCE, but we also had a large percentage who sat for the Advanced exam – CAE and a few who sat for the PET and the Proficiency Exams.

We are very pleased to announce that more than 87% of our students who sat for these exams passed!

While studying English is not about passing Exams it is becoming increasingly important for students to be able to demonstrate their level of English to be allowed to enrol on certain University courses or to be invited for a job interview. Therefore, having the First Certificate or the Advanced certificate opens many doors and in some ways gives our students a brighter future and this makes us very proud.

Once again, congratulations to all of our students who, having studied English with us for so many years, can now proudly show that they have achieved the PET, the First Certificate – FCE, the Advanced Certificate – CAE and the Proficiency Certificate – CPE. Well done!

On the 9th of February our pedagogical team along with some of our teachers attended the most prestigious conference for English Language Teachers in Barcelona and probably in Europe. The International House conference is an English language teaching conference for teachers, managers and teacher trainers and it is a great way for our team to keep in touch with the latest trends and developments in the English language teaching world.

At the conference we attended seminars on topics such as:

• How to teach writing in a dynamic way
• How to motivate teenager
• Using mobile technology for interactive tasks
• Collaborative activities, techniques and tools to develop students’ productive skills

 

Obviously this conference is a great way of inspiring us and our teachers to aim at making our classes even better. We use the suggestions and the recommendations that we get from the experts in the field of English language teaching to prepare weekly trainings for the rest of our team of teachers. Thus ensuring that our whole team evolves and improves their teaching style over time.

Even if you are doing something well you can always do it better.

We have launched our new and improved website with the aim of providing you with more information about our English language courses in Cerdanyola and Ripollet.

Our aim is that you should be able to find out about what English courses we offer, what timetable our courses are and how much our courses cost. Apart from our standard English courses and our speaking courses we will also keep this site updated with information about our Real English activites.

On Friday the 12th of October we celebrated our annual Cambridge official exams certificate presentation ceremony.

Our students from the 2017-18 course sat for the PET, the First certificate and the Advanced exams and we are very proud to announce that over 80% passed. Obtaining these certificates is increasingly important as many University courses require that you have a certain level to enrol and more and more employers request the First Certificate level before they will consider interviewing a potential candidate.

To celebrate our student’s achievements we invited them to a certificate presentation ceremony which was officiated by Helen, Exam Catalunya’s head of operations. Once again, we would like to congratulate all of our students who passed and we will continue to work to ensure that we have a similar success with the official English exams this course.
